If you are looking for quick ways to earn some cash online from home, then paid survey is one option that you can consider.
What To Know Before You Sign Up For A Paid Survey Site
Question #1: Is it legitimate and trustworthy?
So, the very first question you should ask yourself is, ” Is this survey website legit? Do you get paid for real for taking surveys?”
With an increasing number of online scams, it’s good to be cautious and skeptical before you invest your valuable time in it.
Now, how do you determine if this it a real online money-making opportunity?
One of the best ways to find out is to go to reliable third-party consumer review websites such as “TrustPilot” and check out its reviews.
When you are checking the online reviews, you will notice that no one has the PERFECT five-star review because you cannot possibly please everyone.
So, it’s okay if you see a very small percentage of negative reviews (less than 10% is good)
Also, it’s important to go through some of the most recent reviews because the customer experience might have deteriorated over time (yes, this happens)
Next, the greater the number of reviews, the more reliable the data.
It’s just like movie reviews.
Before I decide whether I am going to spend 1.5 hours of time watching a movie, I would check its ratings on Rotten Tomato and IMDB.
If the movie is rated 7 out of 10 or above on Rotten Tomato AND the number of reviews is quite a lot (at least a few hundred people voting ), then the chances are that the movie could be just as good as they say.
Now, imagine that this movie scores such a high rating on both Rotten Tomato and IMDB.
I would not hesitate to watch it at all because it’s probably a good movie worth watching.
For example, here are the reviews of Swagbucks on both TrustPilot and SiteJabber.
It scores 4.5 out of 5 stars on both review websites, based on more than a total of 25,000 reviews combined.
That says a lot about the legitimacy and reliability of Swagbucks.
Question #2: How do you make money with it?
If the paid survey website is legit, then what you want to find out next is that how you can earn money with it.
For most survey sites, how it works is that you earn points by doing things such as shopping online, watching entertaining videos, searching the web, and answering surveys.
With the points you earn, you can redeem them for PayPal cash or gift cards.
For example, Swagbucks is one of them.
But there are a few survey sites which only allow you to earn points by doing surveys.
So it’s up to you whether you want more choices or you just want to do online surveys for cash.
Question #3: How much can you expect to make?
This is a very important question.
Because it allows you to make an informed decision about whether or not it’s really worth your time.
For most survey websites, you can expect to make an average of $200 a month if you are relatively active.
If you spend more time clicking, then you can expect to earn more than that.
So, it’s really a question of how much time you can allocate to doing online surveys and whether you have a better alternative to make money online.
Question #4: Does it offer cash payout via PayPal? Or does it only offer gift cards?
If you are looking for surveys that pay cash, then it’s important to check whether they offer cash payout via PayPal or it only pay in gift cards (i.e. Amazon or Walmart).
I know that there are a few online survey sites that only offer gift cards.
One exampe of such site is Valued Opinion.
There are also survey sites that pay only cash.
Examples include Panel Opinion and OnePoll.
Question #5: If it does pay cash, does it have a cash-out minimum?
Okay, this is an important one too.
Because you don’t want to go with survey sites that set up a very high payout threshold that is going to take you weeks if not months to reach.
Here are some sites with low payout threshhold of $5 or $10:
- Panel Opinion
Question #6: How fast do they pay? Does it pay instantly?
So, how long does it take for you to get paid?
If the survey site takes forever to process your payment, then it won’t matter if they have the lowest payout threshold.
Therefore, it’s important to make sure that they pay out fast.
If they pay out on the same day, it’s even better.
There’s one survey website called Opinion Outpost that supposedly pays out almost instantly (within 48 hours).
But, a quick check on its reviews make me think twice about this company.
Here are screenshots of its review.
As there is a discrepancy in the ratings, I decided to read some of the most recent customers’ reviews on TrustPilot.
It seems that the majority of the latest reviews are negative and they complained about almost the same thing – their accounts get suspended for no reason after they request a cash-out.
So, when you are searching for survey sites that promise fast payouts, you must first make sure they are legit and reliable.
High Paying Survey Sites That Pay Promptly
When you sign up for free with Swagbucks, you can start earning points for doing things like shopping online, watching videos, searching the web and answering surveys.
When you have free time, you can use this website to get free money instead.
With the points earned performing easy tasks, you can either redeem for gift cards to Amazon or get fast cash from PayPal.
What’s the payout minimum?
The minimum is $5 gift card.
For PayPal cash, it’s $25.
How many points do you need to do that?
For example, you can redeem a $5 Amazon gift card for only 500 points. (I’ve redeemed quite a number of free Amazon gift cards smoothly.)
How fast can you get your money transferred to your PayPal account?
About 10 days.
This is not so bad, considering most legit surveys take approximately the same amount of time to process payment if not longer.
LifePoints has over 5,000,000 members from all over the world.
Similar to Swagbucks, you get paid by completing surveys and other activities such as mini-polls and product testing to collect LifePoints.
So, what’s the cash-out minimum?
The payout minimum is $5 via PayPal.
To redeem for $5 PayPal cash, you need a minimum of 5,500 LifePoints in your account.
Although it’s quite a legit company, there are some downsides to using it:
- There’s no mobile app.
- There have been some complaints about poor customer service recently.
- You might not qualify often for their surveys.
With Survey Junkie, you get paid to share your opinion.
For each survey completed, you earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards, or cashed out through PayPal.
And you can do it wherever you are.
How much can you make?
Generally, one point is equivalent to one cent.
Most surveys earn you 100 to 200 points, and it takes an average of 5-20 minutes to complete.
In other words, you can expect to make about $1 to $2 per survey.
So, what is the payout minimum?
Survey Junkie has a relatively low minimum payment threshold of $10, so you can easily get paid at least once a week.
Once you earn 1,000 points ($10), you can redeem your balance for PayPal cash.
The REAL Truth About Some Survey Websites
PanelPlace.com is NOT a survey website.
It’s simply a middle man that is connecting users to survey websites and market research companies.
So, if you want to earn money with paid surveys online, then you are better off to sign up with survey websites directly than through them.
This website lets you do surveys, but it does not promise any rewards for the surveys that you do.
Instead, it allows you to participate in lucky draws or sweepstakes.
If you want to get paid for giving your opinion, then it’s better to go with larger paying survey websites such as Swagbucks.
