If you are in a urgent financial situation where you need to make money fast, here is a list of tried and tested (and 100% legitimate) ways to make $1000 dollars quickly without any financial investment or finding a full-time job.
I used to be in the same desperate financial situation a few years ago when I suddenly lost my job ( the company that I was working for closed down without any notice).
That was when I started to search for legitimate ways to earn money quickly to pay my bills and living expenses.
From my research, I found out that the fastest way to make $1000 is to sell services.
When you sell services, there is no startup capital or investment required unlike selling physical products.
What is more, you just need to find ONE paying client to get paid.
In this blog post, I am going to cover the services that you can offer to make $1000 dollars quickly WITHOUT any specialized skills needed.
Also, I will share with you how I have been selling high-ticket specialized services without having to provide the services myself and how YOU can do the same to make $1000 dollars quickly.
How To Make $1000 Fast WITHOUT Any Specialized Skills
1. Drive For Uber & Lyft
2. Dog Walking
Wag! is a dog walking app that pays you to walk dogs.
So, if you are a dog lover, you can sign up as a dog walker with Wag! and start getting dog walking jobs.
How much can you make?
You can expect to make $17 per walk on average.
If you can do two walks a day, you would be able to make more than $200 a week and close to $1000 a month on the side.

3. Baby Sitting
Baby sitting is one of the best ways for both kids and adults to make extra money.
There are many apps that allow you to find baby sitting gigs.
For example, Bambino helps connect parents to reliable baby sitters nearby.
If you are great with children, then you can consider signing up for free as a baby sitter and start earning money with this phone app.
To sign up, you need to have a smart phone and a Facebook account. Also, you must agree to a credit check and a background check.
If you are younger than 18, parental permission is required.
Timing is automatically tracked and payment takes place directly in the app.
So, how much can you make?
You can expect to make $12 – $25 per hour.
So, if you are doing baby sitting for 2 hours every day, you would earn more than $200 a week and about $1000 a month.
4. Task Rabbit
Task Rabbit allows you to make money helping people with tasks such as cleaning, moving, delivery and handyman work in your local area.
So, how much can you make?
You will be paid either an hourly rate or a per-task price minus 15% service fee charged by the app.
There’s also a possibility of tips, 100% of which go to the Tasker.
How much you can really earn depends on a few factors:
- Your skill
- The Type of Job
For example, you can charge around $30 per hour for cleaning jobs, while you can only expect to charge about $18 per hour for delivery jobs.
If you can spend at least 4 hours every day doing projects from Task Rabbit, you would be able to make about $100 a day, make $500 in 5 days and $1000 in about 10 days.
5. Rent Out Your Room/House
If you have a spare room or apartment, you can earn money by renting out your room or whole apartment on Airbnb.
Depending on your location and the condition of your room or apartment, the rent varies.
Typically, you will be able to command much higher rent if your place is very conveniently located and is well renovated and fully furnished.
To gauge how much you can charge, you can take the room rate of the nearby hotels as a reference.
To make your place more attractive price wise, you can always price it lower than hotels or allow more guests to stay.
Let’s say you can charge $100 a night for your room.
To make $1000, you just need to have your room booked for 10 days.
How To Make $1000 Fast By Selling High-Ticket Services
Now, all these services we mentioned above can help you make money $1000 in as quickly as a couple of weeks.
But what if you want to make $300, $500 or even $1000 in a day?
Then, you will have to sell high ticket services.
Just by closing one sale, you will be able to reach your income goal.
Let me give you an example of what I did to make a quick $1000 selling high-ticket services.
Some time ago, I closed a sale with a small immigration consulting company to help them design a corporate website for $1500.
After I closed the sale, I hired a very talented freelancer for under $500 to help me do the website design.
So, by simply managing the project without having to do the work myself, I made $1000 in net profit.
What I am doing is actually called Service Arbitrage.
A few years ago, I started my own service arbitrage business offering graphic design services to businesses.
The interesting part is that I didn’t have any graphic design skills.
What I did was that I found a group of talented freelancers online from platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork and asked them to work with me because I always have projects that I want to outsource.
The freelancers need work.
And I need talented people to deliver the work for my clients.
It is a win-win situation.
So, if you don’t want to sell your own skills or don’t have the time to deliver the services yourself, you can consider Service Arbitrage.
Basically, you are reselling other talented people’s skills and services.
How you make money is that you will charge your clients at a higher rate than what you are paying your freelancers.
5 Steps To Start Your Service Arbitrage Business To Make Your First $1000
Now, I am going to walk you through a simple but proven 5-step system which I have used myself to make extra money with service arbitrage. And I hope that you will find it helpful.
Step 1: Find a profitable service to offer
Many people seem to think that if you want to succeed in your business, you need to come up with a business idea that no one has ever thought of before.
But, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Actually, the key to starting a successful service arbitrage business is to identify a service that is ALREADY in demand.
Now, you might be thinking that if there are already people offering the same service, why would anyone want to buy from me?
I had the same doubts before.
But if no one has ever thought of doing it, there is a pretty good chance that there is no demand for it.
If there are already people who are offering this kind of service, that is actually good news. That means there is a market for this type of service.
It is not a bad thing that you have competition. If you are smarter than them, provide a better service than them or market better than them or work harder than them, you can make more money than them.
So, it is really up to you.
You either talk yourself out of doing anything out of your comfort zone and stay stuck at where you are right now, or you can start taking small steps and at least give yourself the chance to get to where you want to be.
Step 2: Find Clients
Once you have decided what service you want to offer for your service arbitrage business, it’s time to get clients!
There are two ways of finding clients:
- Free leads
- Paid leads
Here, we’re only going to talk about how to get free leads for your business because it is an entirely different game for paid leads.
When you are just getting started, I also strongly advise that you should start with free lead generation methods to get clients.
So, if you are just starting out, the very first thing you should do is to let everyone in your network know what service you are offering for your new business.
The purpose of doing this is that they can help you spread the word and get people in your network to refer clients to you.
Also, you should find out where your potential clients usually hang out online and then go where they are and put your offer in front of them.
Don’t waste time posting on Twitter or Facebook because your post will only get buried among hundreds of other posts and NO POTENTIAL CLIENT IS GOING TO SEE IT.
Step 3: Close the sale
Now, how do we close the sale?
This is something that a lot of people struggle with.
Not everyone is a natural salesperson.
Not everyone has sales experience or training.
For me, I had no sales experience prior to starting this business. To be honest, I even felt guilty about asking for the sale.
Maybe you feel the same way.
But, I was able to overcome my fear and learned the art of selling from my experience of growing this business. And I want to share with you what I have learned.
So, what is it that I do that allows me to be my natural self and not feeling bad about asking for the sale?
A mindset shift.
Yes, all you need is to change your mindset from selling to genuinely helping and serving.
This way, you stay true to who you really are.
Also, it takes away the pressure on you and your client.
When you are genuinely trying to help your clients regardless of whether they will hire your service in the end, they can tell that you care and not just go after the money.
If you want to be good at selling, you need to understand two things:
- We only buy from people whom we believe can solve our problem and get us the results we desire
- We only buy from people whom we trust and like
Once you can internalize these two points, you will find it is not so hard to close a sale.

Step 4: Find Outsourced Worker To Deliver The Work
Getting a good and reliable outsourced worker to do work for you is vitally important. You don’t want to end up with one who is unreliable.
Here are actually MANY SIGNS that you can look out for to help you filter the good ones from the bad ones.
For example, you should always look at the reviews that the past clients have given them. Are they good reviews? Or most of the reviews are bad?
A second sign is their response time. Do they respond very quickly to any enquiry? Or do they take very long to reply?
Inside my FREE Service Arbitrage Email Course, you can get access to the complete list of warning signs you should look out for when you are selecting which freelancer to outsource the work to.
Step 5: Hand Over The Completed Work
So, we have come to the final step of this five-step system for starting your own service arbitrage business.
This step should be the easiest of all.
After your freelancer has completed the work and your client is happy with the result, it’s time to collect the remainder of the full payment from your client before you hand over all the deliverable.
If possible, always ask your client for a testimonial and referrals at the end of the project. If you have done a good job, your client should be okay to do this favor for you.
